I didn´t season the salad with salt, just the dressing, as the canned sardines already contain salt. You can also use a handheld blender, food processor or even a nutribullet. TIPS & TRICKS to Make this Recipe: I used a mortar & pestle to make the dressing. If you use sardines in water, just use extra virgin olive oil to make the dressing. To make the dressing, I used the olive oil from the canned sardines. However, you can use other types of canned sardines. Alternatively, you can make the dressing ahead of time and then pour over the salad when ready to serve.įor the sardines I used Spanish canned sardines in olive oil. Just cover with saran wrap and add into the fridge. You can serve this salad either at room temperature or even chilled. Enjoy it as a tapas appetizer or even as a light dinner, next to a crunchy baguette and a bottle of Spanish wine.
